God's Love Anoints Our Heads: prayer from Psalm 23

Psalm 23:5 New Living Translation
5 You prepare a feast for me
in the presence of my enemies.
You honor me by anointing my head with oil.
My cup overflows with blessings.

1 John 2:27 Tree of Life Version
27 As for you, the anointing you received from Him remains in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you. But as His anointing teaches you about all things—and it is true and not a lie—and just as it has taught you, abide in Him.

John 15:7 Tree of Life Version
7 “If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it shall be done for you.

I love how God uses such beautiful descriptive words to help us understand His awesome love and transforming power.

As we sit with the Holy Spirit and ponder on God's word, let's choose to visualize the beautiful mark on our foreheads. We are marked as Christ's own. His love and mercy pours down our heads moment by moment. (Ephesians 1:12-14)

Let's pray: Dear God, thank You for this day. Thank You for Your loving sacrifice that washes away our sins and anoints us with Your love forever.

We humbly come to the throne room of grace with great thanksgiving! We sing Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord Almighty.

Our cup overflows with Your goodness and mercy. Our hearts are bursting with the praises of Your glory.

Thank You Lord Jesus for saving us, redeeming us, sustaining us, and abiding in us as You work on transforming us closer to Your likeness daily.

Please imprint Your Holy word upon our hearts and minds. Help us remember Your word, speak Your word, pray Your word, and BE Your word.

Thank You Abba Father, Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit, Amen.
