How often do you change what you want to try and do because others will judge you, or your past haunts you, and/or you're afraid to fail again?
Here's three truths: 1. God's opinion is the only one that matters. 2. People don't really care what you do. 3. No one lives your life but you, therefore no one should get a say in it--accept God and your spouse.
Ultimately when we kneel before God after this short life is over, the excuse of: "But I invested so much in ___ degree.", or "My parents told me....", "But everyone said that was a dumb idea.", "I didn't think I was good enough.", "My past was so horrible who was I to....", "I didn't think anyone would care/read it/work with me/etc." or any other excuse you can think of won't matter. And our excuses definitely won't and don't matter to God. He wants faithful, bold obedience!
For decades I missed out on the blessings of serving God because I had deep hurts that led me to feel unworthy, not valuable, not strong, not smart, afraid, and desperate for affirmation/validation from everyone. It led me to make so many choices and changes to my life that were out of God's perfect will. I've missed out on so many blessings and delayed so many blessings and positive impact all because of my mindset!
If you are seeking validation from anyone but God, you have spiritual, mental, emotional, and mindset work to do. I challenge you to dig deep on this and see who you are serving.
Until you know your value to God, your worth to God, and you break the chains of validation seeking, you will sabotage every goal, dream, and plan that you and God have for yourself.
I am doing something new; it’s springing up — can’t you see it? I am making a road in the desert, rivers in the wasteland.
Most people make New Year's resolutions. They quickly sit on January 1st and write out some arbitrary goals, that are quickly forgotten, dismissed, and laughed about later.
My friends if we want to hear: "well done good and faithful servant" (2 Timothy 4:7-8 & Matthew 25 parable of the talents) we must choose to transform our mindsets, heal our past wounds, and boldly, steadfastly, courageously, with extraordinary perseverance build every single God-given dream and goal until it is finished!
Let's choose today to dig into the word with prayer and great thanksgiving!
Let's choose to write out what we hear from God, journal our thoughts, reframe them into His empowered truth, and then break down those goals into bite sized daily activities.
Let's choose a NO EXCUSES attitude! Let's choose not to allow any perceived failure, discouragement, or delay be a permanent stumbling block.
Let's choose to invest in counseling and/or coaching to bring forth the healing and transformation that will create empowered action through all of life's circumstances.

Let's pray: Dear God thank You for this day. Thank You for Your love and mercy. We sing praises to Your name because of Your great love for each of us.
We know Lord that You have wonderful plans for each of us. We know that You created us to prosper in all respects just as our soul prospers in Your word and Spirit.
Jesus please help us dig into Your holy word and imprint it upon our hearts and minds. Please help us to put Your word as a healing balm on every broken, bruised, and hurt place within us.
We thank You for Your loving sacrifice and ask that you would forgive our sins, known and unknown. Most especially forgive us for seeking to please the world above seeking to please You!
We humble ourselves before You and ask that You would counsel us, grant Your wisdom into us wherever we lack it, and lead us to create all the goals and dreams that You have for us.
We sing Halleluiah, Halleluiah, Hosanna in the Highest! Your will be done in our lives and on this earth as it is in Heaven!
Blessed are You Jesus! Please protect us from the enemy and rebuke the devourer away from our harvest of blessings, growth, and healing as You transform us day by day.
In Jesus name, we pray, Amen! and Amen!
