Are you careful who you hang out with?
There was a time that I didn't really think that the people around me impacted my thoughts, feelings, attitude, or behavior.
The people I hung out with complained, so I complained. What they did I naturally did. It's easy to complain. It's easy to see what others have and want those things, go get those things, and to mimic the behavior that we see without conscious thought.
It takes effort to rise above the behavior, words, and actions we see in others and all around us.
Let's intentionally craft our circle of friends. Let's limit time with those that drag us down at work, at family gatherings, and so on. It may sound hard but the payoff is huge.
When I am going into a situation I know will tax my thoughts and attitude, I spend even more time in the word and worship prior to attendance. I pray for God to infuse me with strength to watch my words, my attitude, actions, and emotions.
We are the sum of the people we hang out with. And if we hang out with God more than others than our mind will be transformed by the renewing of our thoughts by His word (Romans 12:2)
Let's pray: Dear Lord Jesus, we praise You and give You all thanks. We humbly come to the throne room of God singing with thanksgiving for all that You have done to save us, heal us, and transform us.
Lord please help us to dig into Your word and bring Your scripture deep into our hearts and minds so that we can have transformation of our thoughts, words, and actions.
We want to walk in Christ-like love, sowing seeds of salvation to others, and bringing a harvest of blessings to ourselves and our family.
Lord please grow us daily in Your word and way. Help us Lord to discern our gifts, calling, and Your desires for us this day and every day.
We continue to intercede please for an end to this difficult time, for revival in every heart and church, and supernatural protection for those working so hard to protect us, heal us, and help us. Thank you Lord for hearing our prayers.
Thank You Jesus for Your abundant love. Amen
