Happy good Friday!
As I type happy good Friday, my emotions are mixed--one of sorrow that my sinful human nature put my Creator on a cross and one of deep gratitude, thanksgiving, joy--that my sins are forgiven, and awe that my Messiah would willingly hold Himself on the cross for my sins and yours.
I've often thought of the magnitude of power and love that Jesus has for us that He chose to keep Himself on the cross until it was finished.
Think for a moment at the power Jesus had even in His human form--the power to heal, the power to multiply food, the power to calm the sea and the wind, the power to rebuke and cast out demons, the power to raise people from the dead, the power to walk on water, and yet He chose to bind His power from releasing His body from torture and crucifixion! Oh, how great a love the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit has for us!
Today my spirit and soul, and your spirit and soul are in paradise every day because sin no longer holds us back from the love and unity we have with God through Jesus Christ our Savior, Redeemer, and Healer!
Let's choose to think of His sacrifice, of the torn veil, and the amazing gift of being marked as Christ's own--Holy unto the Lord!
Let's choose to raise our hands in our kitchens as we prepare food and sing praises to His name--Alleluia, Alleluia, Hosanna in the Highest, we sing Holy, Holy, Holy are You Lord Jesus, God Almighty who paid it all for us!
Let's pray: Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for this good Friday to praise You and think on Your power, love, and amazing sacrifice!
We bow down and worship You now, how awesome are You Lord! Help us Lord to sing praises to Your name today and every day.
Please forgive us when we gloss over how amazing it is to be united to You. Lord please help us to tap into Your Spirit that dwells within us and praise You with all that we can.
We humbly pray for a revival in every Christian heart throughout the world. We pray for supernatural protection over every persecuted Christian. Lord please release Your Holy Spirit anew in each of us and in every church.
Please help the body of Christ to come together and to shine Your light in such a way that those who do not know You begin thirsting for knowledge of You and salvation through You.
We thank You for revival and salvation. We give You all thanks and praise for this time of reflection on Your Holy word and amazing sacrifice. In Jesus name, we pray, Amen!
