Do you welcome a perspective shift from God or do you fight your circumstances and work to control and manipulate people and circumstances for your desires?
I used to look at everything with a despairing, complaining eye and mindset. I hardly saw the good in people. To the old me, everyone's core desire was to get something from me or further their agenda at my expense.
I did not assume best intentions. I was a hurt person who saw all situations from a depressed vantage point that brought more hurt and depression. I was angry that others had it better than me--but I hardly was consciously aware of how jealous and angry I was. I believe the church's constant message to bury our feelings instead of process our feelings in the light of God's truth is the shackle that holds us back.
Today let's choose to stop caring about what others have. Let's choose to be thankful for their blessings and our own.
Let's choose to take a hard look at what we think of God's love for ourselves and others and choose to bring our perspective into alignment with the truth of God's word. (We delay our own blessings when we try to manipulate and see things from our own vantage point.)
Let's choose to ask God to grant us God-blessed eyes to see our circumstances and the people around us from His perspective.

Let's pray: Dear God Almighty, we are in awe of Your holiness and Your love for each of us. Lord we sing praises to Your name, Jesus, that we can be in a deep, dynamic relationship with Abba Father because of Your loving sacrifice.
Lord please show us where we are creating hardship by not following Your will and way. Please help us to remember Your miracles and blessings that You shower on us every day. And help us choose to sing about them and share them with ourselves and others to encourage ourselves in all that we are experiencing.
We know that this broken world seems unfair and we know that the perspective can shift when we allow ourselves to grow through all circumstances for our good and Your Kingdom agenda.
Please help us to see Your hand moving in our circumstances. Please help us to stop trying to manipulate things and simply walk through each moment with an eye to cultivate a Christ-like attitude and a perseverance and patience that cultivates an attitude of joy.
Thank You Jesus for always walking this world with us. Thank You that You love us beyond our understanding and will craft all things for our growth when we submit to You.
