Do you ever worry you won't understand the Bible?
In the past I use to read a bit here and there and tell myself I didn't really "get it." So God I'm sure sighed and let me go on my way. 🤦♀️
When I first gave my focused attention to listening to the Bible (I didn't first read it--I listened on my IPad mini) I let it wash over me and I asked God to help me understand and grow. I'm sure He smiled and thought--about time you asked. At least that's what I imagine. 😅
God is ready to help us understand--good counsel is from Him (Psalm 32:8), wisdom from His word, and understanding from Him.
Let's ask today for God to imprint His Holy word, His good counsel, and His understanding on our hearts and minds. And then let's proclaim it: God gives me understanding and wisdom on His Holy word.
Let's pray: Dear Lord God Almighty, we humbly give You thanks and praise. You are God alone. You are wisdom, power, and might beyond measure. We worship and praise Your Holy name.
Lord Jesus please lead us to the scripture we need to read, speak, believe, and be today.
We know that You can counsel us on how to wisely move through our day and what mindsets we need changed so that we can truly live the joyfilled, peacefilled life free from anxiety and stress.
We thank You and praise You for all that You are doing in our lives during this difficult time. We humbly intercede on behalf of all who are hurting, working, and fighting for us, our children, and our wellbeing, Lord please grant them protection and guidance.
We thank You and sing praises to Your name, now and forever, Amen
