Worry, anxiety, anxious frantic working--what does it add to us?
Our Jesus said, what can we add or control through worry (Matthew 6:27)--the answer is nothing. We cannot add time to our lives. We cannot block bad things from happening when we worry. Nothing changes in our lives in a positive way when we are anxious, controlling, and worrying.
What does happen when we worry? Our body sends out stress hormones, our creative thinking shuts down, we make poor decisions, we interact with loved ones in a negative way, we steal our joy and peace, we create more to worry about and a vicious cycle begins to tear down our lives and our blessings!
You and I have no control over anything but our actions. What shall we choose today--God's peace that is waiting inside of you and me or the painful, draining, destroying worry and anxiety of trying to control the outcomes of things?
Let's choose today to do our daily tasks without frantic energy and anxious looking to see what comes out of it. Let's choose to release control to Jesus Christ to craft the outcomes as He so chooses.
Let's work with our eyes on the Lord, praise on our lips, and a focused intent to release trying to control anyone or anything in our lives.
Let's choose to build up the house of our mind by speaking the word of God over it and choosing to become all that God wants us to be--peace-filled and faith-filled.

Let's pray: Dear Jesus, thank You for paying it all for us! Thank You that we don't need to be anxious for anything! Thank You that You love us with an everlasting love that is beyond all full comprehension!
Lord we lay down our burdens and refuse to pick them up again. We know that only You Lord are in control of the outcome of our life interactions and circumstances.
Lord please forgive us for wanting to control and manipulate our circumstances the way we see fit--for You Lord are the only living God that knows exactly what is best for us and for Your Kingdom agenda.
Please grant us God-blessed eyes to see where we are trying to be anxious and manipulate things into our way. Please help us to tap into Your peace within us and to release all frantic energy and cultivate a faithfulness that allows You to work all things for our good and Your glory.
We worship and praise You! Thank You Jesus for Your loving sacrifice that sets us free! Amen!
