Love Like No One Else
Yesterday's devotional we talked about Jesus loving us just as God loves Jesus--such a powerful and amazing thought to meditate on and create a changed mindset through. We can shout "I am loved!"
In that incredible loving from God we can build a new mindset that crushes the world's voice of who we are and what our value is.
This sinful broken world does not get to tell us our worth. We are worthy, loved, forgiven, and free in Christ Jesus. That truth can shift all that we think and all that we speak over ourselves and others. And by that measure of great love we should measure our thoughts on others. We can see the grumpy lady in a different way--instead of calling her grumpy and mean we can say she needs love and kindness and pray for her. Instead of seeing the rude teenager with disdain and annoyance we can pray for them to grow in real maturity and give them grace in their brokenness.
Today, pray for the strangers around you. Today, shift your frustration over the driver who cut you off and pray for them. Today look at the words we speak over ourselves and others as speaking directly to Christ. It takes intention and time to shift ingrained communication habits but we can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens us, transforms us, and loves us with an everlasting love that surpasses all worldly understanding. Amen!
