Whose faith journey encourages you? whether a friend, famous, in the Bible, let's share
We can use the story and faith journey of others to spur us on to stay the course marked out for us by Christ.
Everyone's journeys, blessings, and promise land are unique to them. I don't want us to compare ourselves in a way that tears us down.
I want us looking at someone's faith journey in light of their ability to stay the course, pick themselves back up after failures, and persevere through hard times.
Reflection like that can bring a perspective needed in times of discouragement. Because every life journey has times of tears, discouragement, loneliness, confusion, and crisis.
We who are empowered by the Spirit of God can use those moments to learn from, grow from, be inspired to strive harder.
Let's choose today to not compare to tear down but critically think about the totality of the journey--the journey is twists, turns, set backs, and catapults.
Let's choose to not stay down, stay stuck, whine for long, or complain away our dreams!
Let's choose to reach out for the tough love (thank you Ryann Dowdy) that shifts our mindsets back to the High Calling that Christ has put in your heart and mind. *if you're stuck or need a plan to bring about your goals then let's talk
Let's pray: Dear Lord God, thank You for Your love, mercy, and Spirit that You have given us.
Thank You Lord that You have given us Your word to help transform our mindsets, our words, our actions, and our ability to walk our journey.
Lord empower us to push through the hard day, please. Help us Lord to reach out and find the stories, the friends, the tools, and the scripture that we need to create a spirit of stamina, perseverance, strength, and determination to work toward all the dreams and goals that You have placed in our hearts.
We give You all thanks and praise for what You are doing in our lives, through our lives, and for our lives.
In Jesus name, Amen.
