Do you get distracted and feel scattered when times are tough and circumstances seem uncertain?
This morning my mind was jumbled with conflicting thoughts and my heart was full of differing emotions. I wanted to bounce around the internet or run around the house cleaning to ease my suffering. But I knew that wasn't the answer. I'd tried that too many times--it is a default ingrained actions to escape my worry, my feels, my chaotic thoughts. Can you relate?
I encourage my clients and community to have a scripture wall or Biblical Vision board where we can pray scripture and focus in on our macro and micro goals. And I encourage that we write out scripture that speaks to us and to craft it into proclamations.
The reason to keep God's word ever before your eyes is exactly for the hard days and to proclaim the blessings of God into your life. How can the righteous not be shaken--by trusting in the Lord in all circumstances and not leaning into our inclinations to run around distracted and worrying.
God's word says He daily bears our burden (Psalm 68:19 )--but certainly not if we are clinging to it. So I sat still, opened my Bible, read it, then read the prayers and verses I had written in my journal, and then went and prayed the scripture and prayers on my wall.
God is peace, calm, love, forgiveness, and rescue. The enemy seeks to keep us frantic, chaotic, worrying, and striving in every direction trying to manipulate our circumstances into the outcome we think is best.
The blessings of the Lord come from tapping into His peace that is already inside of you by releasing control to Jesus Christ to craft the outcomes in the way that He knows is best.
A peace-filled day is created by trusting that God will order all things after you have simply and peacefully moved through your day executing the tasks that have been assigned to you without worrying about the outcome of them.
Let's choose today to release control, release chaotic striving and worry to embrace God's peace and His powerful ability to craft all things for your good and His Kingdom agenda.

Let's pray: Thank You Jesus that we can come boldly to the throne of wisdom and grace. Thank You for making a way to have the Holy Spirit within us and peace which surpasses all worldly understanding.
Lord please teach us through Your word and Spirit how to rebuke frantic energy and a mind of manipulating our circumstances. Help us to instead release control to You and to wisely move through our day with peace and calm energy.
We thank You Lord that we don't need to be hyper-focused and distracted by this broken world. We know You are ever with us and will work all things for our good and Your Kingdom agenda when we release control and walk by faith instead of our own sight of things.
Please imprint Your Holy word upon our hearts and minds so that we can renew our faith and create a greater relationship with You each day.
Thank You Lord for always hearing our prayer. Thank You Jesus for Your love that calls us worthy, beloved, forgiven, and free.
