There is no one who goes through life without trials, challenges, distresses, and hard days. We live in a broken and sinful world.
I love Psalms. I love the real and raw of them. I love that they speak of the majesty of God. I love that they are a heart cry.
Yesterday, we talked about seeking to know God first before we cry out to Him for help, blessings, or miracles. We don't ask the neighbor we've never met to help us find a job or bring miracle financial blessings into our bank account. Therefor let's be intentional with knowing Him this year.
Not only does God want us to know Him through His word and prayer but He also is waiting to deliver us when we are mature enough to sing His praises daily and forever. I know that I often forget the miracles that God has done throughout the year.
Let's endeavor today to sing praises to God and tell of His wonderful deeds to all those around us. Even just a simple "I'm blessed" instead of "I'm fine" shifts our thinking and tells others that we appreciate His blessings. I don't want to give gifts to ungrateful people who will never remember them and never tell others who gave the gift. How much more should we tell of His wonderful deeds in our life for His glory and as a way to point others to the Living God.
God blesses a grateful heart.
Let's pray: Dear Lord almighty, we humbly come before You with thanks and praise. Thank You Lord that You are Holy, mighty, and worthy of all praise.
Thank You Jesus for Your loving sacrifice. Help me daily to reflect on that amazing gift.
Lord God please establish in me a grateful heart. Please help me to start to shift my words to speak of all Your wonders.
Lord please sustain me today by Your loving spirit. Please protect me and deliver me. I will sing of Your marvelous deeds all the days of my life. In Jesus name, Amen
