Have you ever been tempted to give up and turn back when times get tough? 💁♀️
I have a little bit of difficulty reading Paul sometimes. He seems to never feel like giving up or being discouraged no matter how many times he was beaten down (literally and figuratively). But, if I look carefully there were definitely times when Paul wrote of despairing of his life and the work he put into people who turned their back on him and Christ's teaching.
It's easy to catch just a verse, just a meme, just a happy moment and not see all the blood, sweat, tears, failures, insecurities, self-pep talks, pity parties, mundane tasks, etc. that go into running the journey marked out for that person.
Don't give up your calling, your journey, your growth in Jesus no matter what you see happening in others.
Let's strive forward no matter the obstacles that happen, no matter if we fall off the path a few hundred or more times, no matter the emotions that bubble up, or the messages from others.
We can continue to make the blessings come as we grow day by day in our unique journey and calling in Christ Jesus.
Let's pray: Dear Lord God, thank You for this day. Thank You for walking with us and encouraging us through Your word.
Thank You Lord for the blessings that we see and those we may never know about.
Lord Jesus please forgive us our sins. Help us Jesus to cultivate our faith muscles and our perseverance when times are tough.
We give You all praise and glory, now and forever, Amen.
