I can hardly believe that it is 2019. Another year of my life has passed, and my birthday quickly approaches.
2018 was an incredible year for our family. By incredible I don't mean good or positive—I mean life altering and transforming. Many things happened in 2108. A few really good, and one major life event that was very devastating but very transforming.
Through the years I have never held much esteem for New Year's resolutions. I never gave the idea much thought besides the passing "Oh, those hardly work" or something along those lines. I definitely didn't think that goals and visions to work toward had power!
Now, I know I was wrong.
God's word talks about vision, wisdom, and Godly guidance. Our creator God is so amazing that His ideas about change, transformation, goal setting, and accomplishment are right in His written word. I never knew how much I could get from writing out my goals and keeping them ever before me—just as God's Holy word states.
Then Adonai answered me; he said,
“Write down the vision clearly on tablets,
so that even a runner can read it.
3 For the vision is meant for its appointed time;
it speaks of the end, and it does not lie.
It may take a while, but wait for it;
it will surely come, it will not delay."
Visions and goals do take work. There is a saying "Put your money where your mouth is"—meaning take action on what you are saying. This year I want to: Put action where my mouth speaks desires.
I was blessed to have come out of our negative life event through the helpful tools I found in the spiritual life Boot Camp run by Hannah Keeley of Mom Mastery University. I can't encourage you enough to look into this if you need massive, quick, and lasting change for your life.
This 2019 year I plan to put action and energy into every area that I seek the abundant joyful life. I have written my goals so that I can easily see them. I have taken the time to pray and seek what God wants for my life. No, I don’t have a perfect answer for what God wants for my 2019 but I have inquired of the Lord. I plan to take action and be flexible to change and evolve as each day and moment shows me where and how to put my energy.
I pray that you take this day as the first day for your change and growth.
Let's pray: Dear Lord God Almighty, creator of the heavens and earth, You are worthy of all praise and glory. Because You first loved us and pursued a relationship with us we seek You this day. You know all. All is created from Your majestic and creative spirit. You gave us life and salvation through Your Son our Lord Jesus Christ. You walk daily with us. You know our pain and our desires. You know every hair on our head. I am in awe of You Yahweh Abba Father! Your forgiveness is so amazing and loving. Thank You Jesus that You seek my welfare and my transformation. Thank You Lord that You desire that we grow and transform ourselves ever more like our Savior. Lord God we humbly come before You this day to pursue real change and transformation of our lives. Lord God I humbly pray that You would help us to submit ourselves for Your transformation. That You would help us to do the hard work of maturing and growing ever closer to You. Lord Jesus help us, please, to know the goals and visions that we should work toward. We humbly pray for wisdom and discernment as we go about creating the abundant, joyful life that You want for us. In Jesus Precious Holy Name, AMEN!
