Nothing in life is stagnant. Life is ever changing.
The only certainty in life is that the King of Kings and Lord of Lords made a way for us to be united with the Father in this life and the life to come.
Our pastor spoke in depth about this psalm. The beauty of the Bible is that it never shies away from the truth about this broken sinful world.
It's one reason I know that our Lord wrote our Bible. Not once does it pretend that sin, sadness, and evil don't exist. It stands as a stark contrast to the basic human instinct of selfishness and brokenness and calls us to something different--a love that knows no bounds that is otherworldly.
Let's choose today to embrace the love that surpasses all worldly ways. Let's choose today to make choices based on weighing carefully Isaiah (32:4). Let's choose today to move through our day with wisdom from the Lord, tapping into His peace, not making hasty decisions, but ones based on prayer, love, and thought.
Let's pray: Dear Lord Almighty, we praise you for Your love that surpasses all understanding.
We thank You for making a way for us to enter into a deep and loving relationship with You.
Though the earth quakes and the circumstances seem strange--we will yet praise you and know that You are God alone from before time began.
Lord please help us to weigh our choices carefully. Please give our government wise counsel from Your spirit.
Help us Lord to shine Your light of love however we should be today, tomorrow, or the next.
We sing praises to Your name forever and ever, Amen.
