Have you ever realized that you've slowly drifted away from working toward growing in God and maturity?
The happiness to be with God that I had when I first came to know Christ faded rather quickly because I had no root in the word of God.
I was young, immature, and had no leadership that showed me how to grow in God's word. So the people around with their immature habits and errors of thought were the leaders that I followed.
I became so worldly that I am sure that so few people could even know that I was saved and loved God.
It's critical that we surround ourselves with Christ-following leaders. It's critical that we become a leader to ourselves and to others of how to dig into the word and how to bring it into every aspect of our lives.
Today talk with God about who you hang out with and who you listen to--so that you won't be led away from a growing and dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ.
