Confidence according to the dictionary means a state of being certain, a relation of trust or intimacy.
How intimately do you know the word of God?
To know the word is to know God and to know His will.
One reason I encourage everyone to pray scripture is so that we can know God's will and begin to imprint His word on our hearts and minds.
In our fast-paced world we want answers now, not later, not in the waiting to grow into the miracle that we are asking for.
But God's word shows us that He wants us to cultivate faithfulness, knowledge of His word, self-control, self-discipline, perseverance--all the hard beautiful qualities of a mature Christian.
We never ask huge blessings from the neighbor down the street we don't know--so why do we expect we can do the same with God.
We need to cultivate an intimate, faith-filled relationship with God through His word, prayer, and praise.

Let's pray: Dear Lord God, we humbly come to the throne room of grace with praise and thanksgiving.
We thank You Lord Jesus for doing Abba Father's will and not Your own. You did not cast the cup aside but poured Your life out for us so that we could become intimately close to God.
Thank You Lord that Your word is living, active, and breathing in a miraculous and beautiful way. Please imprint Your Holy word upon our hearts and minds so that we can grow in knowledge of Your will and begin to become all that You want us to be.
We pray for Your Spirit and word to flow through the hurt places of our hearts and minds to heal us in every way.
Help us please to boldly walk out our calling and use our gifts to shine Your light in such a way as to draw others into a deeper and more dynamic relationship with You Lord.
In Jesus name, we pray, Amen.
